New Delhi: Stylish Delhi batsman Unmukt Chand, who was signed by Mumbai Indians on Tuesday, said that he was looking forward to playing under Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar.
Unmukt, who is rated highly by several cricket experts, expressed his feelings through social micro-blogging site Twitter.
The 26-year-old also took the opportunity to thank Rahul Dravid – his mentor from previous franchise Rajasthan Royals for all the support during his stay there.
Earlier in the day, Mumbai Indians released two players in Michael Hussey and Praveen Kumar who will be available for auction next year. Mumbai signed Unmukt from Rajasthan Royals and R Vinay Kumar from Kolkata Knight Riders.
The first IPL Trading Window was opened on October 6. The first window will be closed on December 12, a press release issued by the BCCI stated.
The Governing Council has also decided the windows for the 2016 and 2017 seasons of the tournament. While IPL 2016 will be played in the window between April 8 to May 29, IPL 2017 will be played in the window between April 5 to May 21.
